As per report the government of india's new project 'Ration Portability' i.e, 'One Nation - One Card' has undergone a trail run in Telangana. Meanwhile the Ration Portability enables people with valid ration card can take goods from anywhere in this country and the centre wants to implement this by next year June and so from August 1st, this project will get underway in four states as two clusters i.e, Andhra-Telangana and Gujarat-Maharashtra.
Furthermore as part of the trail run, the Telangana Civil Supplies Department has called selective people from Andhra with valid ration card to get the ration commodities. Apparently the trail run was a successful one while the officials are watchful about other aspects that may disturb, but this portability was first introduced in Telangana.
Moreover as it proved to be a worthy one, the Government of india took this initiative as a large number of poor people migrate to different states in the country for the sake of work. Perhaps hyderabad records the highest number of beneficiaries in portability which accounts for 42 Lakhs and there are about 56 Lakh families with ration card in Telangana and about 2.82 crore beneficiaries are benefitted with ration anywhere.
