Furthermore it began with an inaugural speech by Mr Nadda, while in the evening Mr Shah will speak about the role of MPs in parliament and PM modi will address the BJP parliamentarians tomorrow. Meanwhile the media was given brief access only for a photo op of the exercise called BJP Abhyas Varga and the main purpose behind the compulsory weekend workshop of the BJP seems to be to rein in some erring lawmakers. Further some of his other suggestions to the lawmakers include punctuality and regular attendance in parliament.

Moreover the "Abhyas Varga", an exercise already in effect in various states including Himachal Pradesh, is believed to be an effort to familiarize young, first-time lawmakers and also the seasoned lawmakers of their rights and responsibilities. Apparently apart from an orientation exercise, the workshop is a reflection of PM modi's growing concerns over erring lawmakers and the list is long, and most of these cases pertain to discipline issues.
