Reportedly with the weather department expecting intense rainfall in mumbai for the next four to six hours, the city's police department has cautioned citizens. Meanwhile as several roads were waterlogged by rainfall throughout the night, mumbai police department has issued a notification, requesting citizens to not venture out unless absolutely necessary.
mumbai Police said on Twitter "As per weather forecast, Intense spells of rain likely to continue in the next 4 hrs and heavy to very heavy rainfall in the next 24 hrs. We request Mumbaikars to take adequate precautions & ensure safety. #Dial100 in case of any emergency”. Furthermore the police department also released a list of areas where traffic was affected.
Moreover several flights were also cancelled in mumbai due to heavy rains while routes of many public buses have been diverted. Perhaps not just mumbai but other states including Gujarat and Odisha are also on alert as there is a high possibility of heavy rainfall, according to the weather department.
