The recent gang rape of a software techie(abhaya)in the IT corridor of Hyderabad, the Govt has decided to set up special fast track court to penalize the culprits.The government has bowed down to the pressure of women activists and civil society as AP has shown a high graph of gender crimes- acid throws, molestation, eve teasing and gang rapes(one rape for every third day in Hyderabad and one in five days in the state).
' We want to penalize criminals so harshly that they will become deterrent models to other criminals particularly desperate youth in the society' CM Kiran said today approving the several other safety measures across the state capital with more CCTV and regular patrolling and monitoring and also speed up trial under Nirbhaya act.
