This may sound like what seems to be the most absurd comment but if reports are to be believed, then in case Congress high command pushes for a solution to Telangana or rather say, statehood without addressing any concerns of Seemandhra then there is all likelihood that such a thing can’t be ruled out.
Though Telangana statehood is justified, it cannot however go ahead with completely disregarding the concerns of the people of Seemandhra and in case they feel cheated by both Centre and even their own politicians, then there are enough examples in history to say that when democracy fails, only violence is the option followed by secession.
Though AP is far from borders and people may not get influenced that easily when compared to Punjab or Kashmir, it has to be remembered that Tamil Tigers were born out of discrimination and it took three decades to address the problem. Will Andhras be forced to take a similar path? Let’s hope things get resolved and such a thing doesn’t happen.
