PM modi who hoisted the flag at Red Fort has confessed that his government has come forward in making Sardar Vallabhai Patel's dream come true. He addressed the nation from Redfort on the occasion of Independence Day.
He said, "We have never even completed 10 weeks and in this small tenure we have strengthened all initiatives in all directions." Speaking in Hindi he further said, "10 hafte ke andar anuched 370 aur 35a ka hanta Sardar Patel ke sapnon ko sakar karne main ek aham kadam tha (The removal of Articles 370 and 35a of the Constitution within 10 weeks of the new government is an important step towards realising the dreams of Sardar Patel)"
He also said, "Today india is One Nation, One Constitution and we are committed to realizing Patel's Dream of 'Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat (One india, Great india). The old arrangement in Jammu and Kashmir paved way for corruption, nepotism and there was injustice for the rights of women, children and dalit communities. But now we have changed everything totally."
