Moreover during the talks, which lasted for 30 minutes, the two leaders discussed regional developments and the ways to "strengthen US-india economic ties through increased trade". The White House said "The President conveyed the importance of reducing tensions between india and pakistan and maintaining peace in the region". Perhaps modi is scheduled to attend the G7 summit meeting in france later this month where the two leaders are likely to get an opportunity to interact.
