Senior Tollywood scriptwriter and producer kona venkat who earlier supported pawan Kalyan's Janasena Party switched to YSR Congress in the last minute. He lent his support to the then Opposition Party before the elections. Kona's Uncle, Kona Raghupathi is YSR Congress MLA from Bapatla and is also the Deputy Speaker in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly.
His Brother-in-law, Dronamraju srinivas was YSR Congress Vishaka West candidate but lost the election. Kona's friend and business partner, MVV Satyanarayananarayana is Vishakapatnam MP. Using the good office in YSR Congress, kona venkat will be joining hands with the ruling YSRCP government and an international organization to set up a 500 crore world-class film studio and a theme water park in Surya Lanka, Guntur.
The studio will be modeled after the reputed Disneyland Studios in Hollywood. He has already begun surveying the lands in Surya Lanka for the project. The government is expected to give lands at cheap rates for what kona venkat has done for the party. Kona alone can't be so courageous to take such a huge risk. Some YSR Congress leaders are also investing in this project.
