We are preparing ourself to step into the new league of space technology and create a place for ourselves in the world. India is all set to launch Mars Orbiter Mission today from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre located at Sriharikota in Nellore today if the weather conditions permit. India joined a select league of nations with its Moon mission named Chandrayaan few years back and is now all set to reach Mars through its Mangalyaan probe which will be launched today. While the developed nations like USA, Russia have already done their space missions, India is going to join them now. Reports say the mission has cost Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) close to Rs. 800 crores and once the probe is placed in the orbit, it will enter the orbit of Mars after a period of 200 days. This launch is being eagerly watched by advanced countries which will be one more test for India’s technological prowess!
