According to sources Sriharshini was a fifteen year old girl sparkling with life, studying tenth standard in Kendriya Vidyalaya here. Meanwhile Sriharshini left home on Tuesday at around 5.30 pm towards the Jadcherla-Mahaubnagar highway saying that she had buy a pen and pencil and she got back home and left again saying she needed to buy something else and would return soon. Sadly, when she did not respond to phone calls from parents and her mobile was found switched off later, the anxious parents lodged a complaint with the Jadcherla police.
Furthermore local residents told investigating officers that Sriharshini got into a car not very far from her house. Police deduced that she must have known the individual driving the car to get into it on her own and based on CCTV surveillance. Further the vehicle had come towards Jadcherla from the Balanagar toll plaza and returned towards hyderabad in half an hour and they traced the car to the owner who gave them details of his friend who had borrowed his car.
Moreover on Tuesday, naveen came to Jadcherla to meet the tenth grade girl and after she got into his car, headed towards Shankarapalli tanda on the national highway. Hence after speaking to each other for some time in a deserted place, he wanted to have physical relations with her, which the girl resisted. Sriharshini asked him to let go of her and while trying to run away, he caught hold of her dress and pulled her. Perhaps the accused then got into his car and fled to hyderabad. Police probed the case and retrieved the body concealed near bushes close to the highway near Shankarapalli tanda. Sriharshini's body was identified by her parents.
