According to sources the state of
Telangana got a new Governor with the announcement made by Centre. Reportedly Tamilisai
Soundarajan who is the Tamilnadu state BJP chief is appointed as Telangana
Governor and she will take charge later this week. Meanwhile the 58 year
old was instrumental in strengthening the BJP in Tamilnadu but she
unsuccessfully contested from Thoothukudi Lok Sabha earlier this year.
Soundarajan is credited with 44.5 Lakh membership ever since she was made BJP
chief in the year 2014.
Furthermore Soundarajan's father is a Congressman but she preferred to take up the saffron flag and finally the party bestowed her with right opportunity. Accordingly being a staunch BJP follower and the one who has the blessings of Narendra modi and amit shah, the ruling TRS party will have tough time to deal with the new governor. Further the appointment of Soundarajan is a boost for Telangana BJP which has been very aggressive these days.
Moreover they have been alleging a scam in the agreement made by the power purchase and they might well approach the new governor for central agency probe and not just this, the TRS sarkar is planning to introduce new revenue bill and it needs Governor's stamp after approval of the legislative assembly. Hence overall, BJP has seriously done good homework to tackle kcr and TRS in Telangana.
