The State Cabinet Meeting has happened the other day and several key decisions were taken. I&PR Minister, Perni nani briefed the media about the decisions of the cabinet later on in the day. The Cabinet canceled the tenders of Polavaram Hydel Project and also approved to take back the lands given to Navayuga for Machilipatnam Port Project. When the media asked about Amaravati, the minister went on to say that Capital issue has not come up for discussion in the Cabinet meeting.

This indicates that the Chief Minister is not in a hurry to decide about the future of Amaravati. The State Government has brought all the existing projects in Amaravati to a standstill immediately after coming to Power. Moreover, only a paltry amount is allocated to the Capital in the first budget tabled by the Government. This silence of the Chief Minister puts the future of around 28,074 farmers who came forward to give 34,010 acres of lands for the Capital in a fix.

Botsa has created a sense of fear in the people about Capital Change and also forced the farmers on roads. All this began while Chief Minister jagan Mohan Reddy is in the united states and everyone initially thought it is the loose tongue of Botsa. But the talk did not stop even after the controversy is blown bigger and even after jagan is back. Botsa continued ambiguous statements about Amaravati.
