Leaders of various political parties and hindu outfits on friday condemned carvings of the telanagana rashtra samithi(TRS) chief minister kcr & party symbol car, on the pillars of Sri lakshmi Narasimha swamy temple at yadagirigutta.
The popular shrine, under renovation, became a focus of controversy when pictures and videos of carvings surfed on the social media, creating reactions.
BJP state president K.Laxman in an official statement said that the action depicted kcr's craze for publicity and also his fondness to hurt the sentiments of the majority community. The yadadri images could not have been made without consent from the top he said.But if there was nod for the controversial carvings by the yadadri temple development authority , of which MR.Rao is chairman, remained unclear as officials did not respond.
As per the yadadri temple development authority (YTDA) they have confirmed that presence of images of kcr and car symbol were true and they also told that the sculptures were being craved by the sculptors on their own without any instructions from higher authorities. The authorities also told that only the images of god & goddess only need to craved on the temple pillars.
