The ritual of building pandals from the day of Ganesh Chaturthu until the emersion day takes a different turn in hyderabad and mumbai cities, that can see an atmosphere of competition. The more unique and creative an idol, the pandal owners mark it as a social status in their respective regions.
This makes every pandal owner try something new every year. The creators on the work are very pro active with all the occasions that falls in and around the dates of the festival. Once such organization in hyderabad called future foundation society have designed a ganesh idol that is placed inside a set up that resembles and Chandrayan-2 like environment.
On the occasion of launch of Chandrayan-2, this idol had gained popularity overnight. The structure is completely made of iron and can be recycled; the prototype of the satellite which is at 23.5 ft could accommodate the 5ft tall and 650kg idol of ganesh.
This foundation also telecasted live launch of ISRO space mission last night. It is a proud moment for the nation that citizen from across all parts of the country have stood together with ISRO during such a pivotal mission.
