Telugu Desam Party President and Opposition Leader Chandrababu Naidu called for 'Chalo Atmakur' rally on the Political Violence in Narsaraopeta, Vinukonda, Sathenapalli, Chilakuripeta in the Palnadu region of Guntur district. TDP had planned to create unrest in the people there and thereby bringing the bad name to the Government.
The government did not hesitate even to confine Former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu under House Arrest. All the former Ministers including Nara lokesh, the current and former MLAs and MPs, and the Senior Leaders were either house arrested or taken into preventive custody. Interestingly, Former Speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao and his family are totally missing from the Chalo Atmakur protests even though he is related to two constituencies of Palnadu.
After coming to the Power, the government unearthed the corruption of Kodela and his family and forced the former Speaker to fight a legal battle. Kodela, at this juncture, is not in a mood to fight to enter into a tangle with the State Government and so stayed away from the Chalo Atmakur agitation. TDP also did not force him to join the agitation as it feared the bad name he got in the recent times and Chandrababu Naidu did not want that shadow on TDP in the Opposition.
