Chennai sources stated DMK President MK Stalin\r\nvisited the family of 23 year old Chennai techie Subhasri, who was killed after\r\nan illegal flex board fell on her while she was riding her two-wheeler last\r\nThursday, where Subhasri was subsequently run over by a water\r\ntanker. Meanwhile visuals of his brief visit on Wednesday\r\nmorning showed Subhasri’s mother geetha and father Ravi breaking down as Stalin\r\noffered his condolences to them.

Stalin was accompanied by DMK MP TR Baalu and\r\nCPI(M) state Secretary K Balakrishnan. When speaking to the media after\r\nmeeting Subhasri’s family, Stalin said, "All banners and hoardings should\r\nbe kept with police permission, action should be taken against those who did it\r\nillegally. The ruling party (AIADMK) does not pay heed to even court\r\njudgments".

Moreover Stalin said, adding, “Subhasri's father\r\ntold me that his daughter should be last victim of the banner culture. I can't\r\nforget his words.” Perhaps when asked by reporters about AIADMK former Councilor\r\nJayagopal, who had erected the illegal banners, not being arrested by the\r\npolice, the DMK leader said, "They are playing a drama, they could've\r\narrested him immediately, I don't want to politicize this." Moreover the\r\nDMK also announced a solatium of Rs 5 lakh for the family.
