The Experts Committee headed by Retired IAS Officer, sujatha Rao submitted its report to Andhra Pradesh Government about the improvement of Medical Services in the State, especially in Government Hospitals. Chief Minister, YS jagan Mohan Reddy had decided to bar all the Government Doctors from Private Practice.

A majority of Government doctors are known for doing Private Practice and coming late or not coming to the Government Hospitals. Due to that, the services in the Government hospitals are fast degrading. So, this decision will solve the problem, the Committee opined. At the same time, the Chief Minister also agreed to increase the salaries of the Doctors so that this No Private Practice is compensated. The Chief Minister also agreed to release new notification to increase the number of doctors in the State.

The doctors are very hard to be handled. However serious the government may be, they will not work in the government hospital and will not stop the private practice. Because with mere signature in the attendance register and keeping their hands on a couple of patients brings them salary and at the same time, they make huge money for working in the private hospitals, either own or consultancy to corporate hospitals.
