Reportedly before the arrival of the aircraft, the officials at RGIA made necessary arrangements to ensure proper treatment to the mother. Accordingly the mother was identified as Mananieta Jean Ledesma of philippines and she was taken to the Apollo Medical centre at the airport soon after the aircraft had been parked in the bay where she delivered a baby boy and then both the mother and child were shifted to Apollo Cradle in Jubilee Hills for further treatment.

Doctors stated the weight of the baby was 2.7 kg. The mother and child would be discharged after observation for two to three days, the doctors said to a daily. Previously in a similar instance, a few months ago, a baby was born on board of a plane that made an emergency landing at RGIA. Perhaps it was coincidently a Philippine Airlines flight en route to Manila from Riyadh. Incidentally, both the babies happen to be from the philippines.
