CBI has firmly opposed giving any exemption to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS jagan Mohan Reddy from Personal Appearances in the Graft Cases pending on him. CBI has made stern remarks on the counter it has filed. The agency accused of jagan trying to influence the witnesses when he is in jail and feared he could do that again being in Power.

It also brought to the notice of the court that the Supreme Court has opined that cases of Quid Pro Quo including that of jagan are very dangerous to the country and deserve special attention. CBI appealed to the court not to give any exemption on the grounds of his busy schedule or the State's Financial Condition."Coming from Amaravati to hyderabad once a week should not be difficult," CBI said.

However, legal experts say that the argument of CBI is hollow and may not stand in the court. "CBI is saying jagan should come to the court every Friday so that he does not influence the witnesses. What about the other days of the week? He is still the Chief Minister on those days. CBI is making these arguments just for the sake of making them," they say.
