As a part of reforming the governance to deliver services and the benefits of the welfare schemes (Navaratnalu) to the people of Andhra Pradesh, YS jagan Mohan Reddy's Village and Ward Secretariat system will start functioning from October 2. The new government has created a huge number of jobs with this move.
The village secretariats, which were formed for every village with 2000 population would offer over 45 government services to the people at their doorstep. The village secretariats started working from October 2, 2019, bring down the administration to the doorsteps of the people.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced that all the staff in the Secretariats will be given a smartphone each for the better discharge of their duties. Their services will come into effect completely from January 1st, 2020. All these employees will be placed in two years probationary period and will be later made permanent basing on their performance. The Chief Minister hopes this move will radicalize the governance in the State and satisfy the people who gave a historic mandate to the YSR Congress Party.
