Four months of that disastrous election result, TDP Supremo Chandrababu Naidu claims to have found a reason for his defeat. But, this reason too, is only his doubt and not a confirmation. The other day, while participating in Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti celebrations at the party office in Guntur, Chandrababu Naidu said he had spent most of his time during the last five years in working for the development of the State.
While keeping himself busy for the State development, he said he could not find time for the party work. He could not spare time to interact with the leaders and cadre during the last five years. He said they would have been in Power if he spared enough time for the party while in power. However, even the TDP cadre do not trust Chandrababu Naidu.
"It is quite a common dialogue by Chandrababu Naidu. If we come back to Power again, the same repeats. He gets busy in lengthy conferences with the officials and will have no time for the party. This is one of the reasons for our defeat in 2004 and we did not learn anything from it and repeated the same in 2019. We paid hefty penalty as well," TDP cadre said.
