About 40 leaders were detained after central government decision to scrap article 375 and 35A in the valley. However middle level leaders will be release as of now. Leaders in valley of Jammu and Kashmir will released in phase manner according to sources, these leaders were in detention since two months after central government decision of scrapping article 375 and 35A. Around 40 leaders including the Abdullah’s and Mufti's are in detention currently. 
 
Government sources told that, only middle level political leaders will be release as if now.  The Abdullah’s and Mufti's are unlikely to be released. The government hinted that, the detained leaders will be release only if the administration thinks that their release wouldn’t affect the situation in the valley. 

 Meanwhile, the administration claimed of reopening the schools in the valley, but according to sources many students couldn’t resume the studies because most of the schools are still occupied by para military forces. The journalists sat on dharna at srinagar press club demanding resumption of communication in the state, which is down from last 60 days. Although government claimed of resuming mobile communications in the valley.
