Sheikh Hasina has expressed that sudden ban on export of onion to bangladesh has led a serious impact on her country’s people.Bangladesh prime minister Sheikh Hasina has urged the Indian authorities to intimidate prior information on banning the onion export to her country. While addressing the India-Bangladesh business forum along with Piyush Goyal she said on a lighter note that, she had asked her cook not to use onions in cooking, as india has put a ban on onion export.

She urged the Indian government that, prior information would have helped the cause.Such decisions of banning export products should be intimidated in advance, she quipped. Last 
Sunday, the government of india decided to stop onion export, as the cost of onions were skyrocketing in domestic markets. The centre also decided to limit the commodity to both wholesale and retail dealers across the country. 
 
The price of onion is indeed bringing tears to consumers across the country, the price of onion in major markets in cities reached at alarming level of 60 to 70 rs a kg, in fact in some cities it hovered around 100 rs per kg.
