Nellore Rural MLA Kotamreddy sridhar Reddy has been arrested on the charge of harassing a woman officer and her ailing mother for not obliging his order. The MPDO apparently is refusing to give Water Connection to the house of his follower. She further alleged that the MLA along with his followers hampered power supply and cable connection to her house. MPDO Sarala's complaint was taken by cops only after her midnight protest before the Police station.
Knowing the incident from the media, the Chief Minister called DGP Gautam Sawang and clarified that he will not tolerate indiscipline even if it is by his own MLA and asked him to take the MLA into custody and inquire the case. The CM told the police chief that everyone is equal before the law and nobody should be spared if there is evidence.
The police registered a case against the YSRC MLA and his close aide B srikanth Reddy, based on the complaint from Venkatachalam MPDO Sarala. The MLA was arrested from his house in the early hours of today. It is good that jagan acted at the right moment on this issue or else it would have been a black spot on Jagan's rule just like Vanjakshi incident in the previous Government.
