Moreover figures released by the HMRL stated that as of 11 am, there were 1 lakh passengers against the normal 50,000 passengers every Saturday. As of 1 pm, the figure stood at 1.45 lakh passengers, against the usual 1.02 lakh. Perhaps employees of the TSRTC have formed a Joint Action Committee (JAC) with nine unions under it, and they are striking over the primary demand of merging the TSRTC with the state government. Along with this, they have 25 other demands.
