Sedition case filed against celebrities to be dropped
Sedition case filed against celebrities will be dropped, Muzaffarpur SSP told that, the case will be closed as petitioner filed false information just to garner publicity.
Famous celebrities who wrote letter to PM narendra modi pertaining to mob lynching cases will be closed informed the SSP of Muzaffarpur. Sedition case was filed against them by Muzaffarpur civil court lawyer Sudhir Kumar Ojha. The SSP was directed to take action against the lawyer for providing false information in the petition.
Eminent film personalities like shyam Benegal, aparna sen, Mani Ratnam, and Anurag kashyap, writers Amit Choudhary, Ramchandra Guha were booked under sedition, after FIR was filed in Muzaffarpur, these led to widespread outrage in the country.
SSP of Muzaffarpur Manoj Kumar has informed about the closure of case, he heavily criticized the petitioner Sudhir Kumar Ojha for filing the case without any reason or rhyme, just to garner publicity. Meanwhile, Sushil Kumar Modi, deputy CM of Bihar issued a clarification that BJP and RSS don’t have any connection with sedition case filed against the celebrities. The Muzaffarpur police filed the FIR last Thursday.
