Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in Chennai, Tamilnadu on Friday for his second informal summit with Prime Minister Narendra modi in Mamallapuram town, which is scheduled to begin soon and the Chinese President was welcomed by the state Governor Banwarilal Purohit. Previously Prime Minister narendra modi reached Thiruvidanthai village near Kovalam town, where he was received by Tamilnadu Minister K Pandiarajan. Furthermore from there, he went to his hotel Taj Fisherman's Cove Resort.

Reportedly Xi was accompanied by China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Politburo members on his visit to India. Further from the Indian side, National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval and EAM S Jaishankar accompanied the Prime Minister. Apparently security has been heightened in Mamallapuram ahead of the second informal summit between Prime Minister narendra modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping that is scheduled to take place here on Friday.



Moreover Indian Coast Guard ships were deployed in the waters near the Shore Temple the second century old granite architecture built by the Pallava kings. Perhaps according to Indian government sources, the Indian Navy and the Indian Coast Guard have deployed warships at some distance from the seashore to provide security from any seaborne threat to the meeting between Prime Minister modi and President Xi.
