Perhaps in her 40 minute meeting with the Prime Minister, Soundararajan informed him about her participation in several social programs in the state. Further Soundararajan also called on Union Home Minister amit shah and she handed over a recent publication on Bathukamma festival to the Prime Minister and the Home Minister. Meanwhile the festival was organized for five days at raj Bhavan with traditional fervor and gaiety.

Moreover there was more to the meeting than what met the eye, as it came at a time when the state is witnessing an indefinite strike by employees of the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC). Apparently media reports suggest that Tamilisai briefed the Prime Minister and the Home Minister on the strike, which has affected normal life in the state. Perhaps several others submitted a memorandum, in which they asked the Governor to instruct the government to withdraw their plans to privatize TSRTC; have talks with the protesting employees; fulfill their demands; bail out debt-ridden TSRTC by releasing Rs 2,000 crore; and pay employee salaries for the month of September.
