The Lehar Cyclone is dancing on sea and giving the state administration hell of a time .When Govt evacuated people in low lying areas of Visakhapatnam and E/W Godavari districts,it has changed direction towards Krishna district and heading towards Machilipatnam.
The port town is to be hit for second time in ten days after it was paralyzed by Cyclone Helen and ravaged Konaseema in East godavari district. Disaster management commissioner C Parthasarathy told reporters at Secretariat that the Lehar would hit by tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon with wind speed of 120-150 kmph which would damage the huntsmen more .
'We had planned that it would hit E&W godavari districts but now we have to change plans for evacuation of low lying areas of Krishna and Guntur districts' he said.More alarming aspect of Lehar was the prospects of waves of above 3 meters and sea entering land for 1/2 km all along beach and up to 5 kms at the river mouths entering sea (krishna and Godavari) .
