The bypolls voting is in progress in the state of Uttar Pradesh, as many as 11 assembly seats are in the foray for bypolls in Uttar Pradesh. Many bigwigs are battling for the bypolls.
Uttar Pradesh polling for 11 constituencies on Monday, it is now a chance for the opposition to show its political prowess after failing to create an significant impact in recent Lok Sabha elections, the constituencies which are in foray are, Lucknow contonment, Rampur, Iglas, Gangoh, Manikpur, Jalalpur, Jaidpur, Balha, Ghosi, Pratapgarh. Eight seats of 11 are held by ruling BJP.
Rampur is the bastion of motor mouth Azam khan. Although it would be a tough fight among BJP, BSP, and SP. This is litmus test for entire opposition as they head for assembly elections in 2022.
Another interesting battle is in Lucknow Contonment area after BJP rita bahuguna joshi resigned after winning Allahabad Lok Sabha constituency. Sawajwadi Party has not fielded daughter-in-law after her defeat in 2012 elections.
After landslide victory in Hamirpur last month, the BJP is hoping for a juggernaut in the bypolls. CM Adithyanath have campaigned for all bypolls construction.
