This might sound somewhat unusual but then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh reportedly said that his government will ensure smooth functioning of both Houses of Parliament during the winter session that starts on Thursday. The 12-day winter session is expected to be stormy with main opposition party, BJP making it clear earlier at an all-party meeting on Monday that it will attack the government on a number of issues. So it is obvious that the Telangana issue is going to be part of it. Among these is the creation of Telangana state for which the BJP wants a Bill to be introduced and passed in this session. The PM reportedly said that the UPA government is committed to formation of Telangana. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kamal Nath reportedly said that it will be the government's endeavor to bring the bill as soon as possible. With this assurance from the top leadership, Congress leaders from Seemandhra were reportedly saying that irrespective of whether the bill may come or not, the PM has tickled Telangana Congress leaders who seem to be very happy!
