The Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) has reportedly identified close 9,000 acres of land near Nakapalle near Vizag city, for the proposed Information Technology Investment Region (ITIR).
It is all set to submit a report on the availability and location of land to government which was earlier acquired for Petroleum, Chemical and Petrochemical Investment Region (PCPIR).
The ITIR could include SEZs, industrial parks or export-oriented units, existing settlements, industries and services centres. According to the DPR prepared for the Hyderabad ITIR, the internal infrastructure would be managed by a government agency.
Land identified for the ITIR project near Viizag may cost around Rs 9 to 10 lakh per acre and would include SEZs, industrial parks; new research based multinational companies, industries and services centres. This is expected to give a huge boost to Seemandhra jobs and investments.
