In what is being considered as a belated move, sources say that the government of India will be sending the financial memorandum as well as statement of objectives of the draft AP Reorganization Bill-2013 to Hyderabad in coming days. This will reportedly counter any legal challenge towards the bill which being planned by the Seemandhra camp which communicated to chief secretary PK Mohanty by the Union home ministry. The bill which has been sent to the state on December 12 doesn’t include two components and the Seemandhra leaders have been threatening drag it to court on the grounds that it lacked the right characteristics of a bill. Seemandhra legislators P Keshav (TDP) and Jayaprakash Narayan (Loksatta) have reportedly written letters to the state government which had forwarded them to the Centre. Sources say that the Centre has now realized that lacunae and is in the process of preparing the financial memorandum and also the statement of objectives of the bill which will discuss all financial aspects related to the bifurcation and its impact on the economy.
