Earlier Rajamouli's Bahubali started progressing at brisk pace and even media used to cover minute by minute updates from the shooting spot. Immense craze was generated on film's much talked about war scenes which Rajamouli is currently shooting on lead actors Anushka,Tamanna, Prabhas and Rana.
However suddenly legal notice struck Bahubali. A Jain Math in Karnataka sent legal notices to Bahubali filmmakers that they are insulting their sacred place Bahubali where Gomateswara statue is present. They objected to the use of Bahubali as title for the film as they are promoting violence, though their religion and God never propogated violence.
According to the Bahubali story written by Kannada poet Pampana, Rishabha is the second son of first Teerthankara. Teerthankara has 100 songs. Rishaba Deva has to sons, Bahubali and Bharata. While Teerthankara divided kingdom equally between both his sons, Bharata hatches a plan to posses entire kingdom. Bahubali chooses peace and sacrifices his Kingdom.
When filmmakers are contacted to get their views, they are telling that their Bahubali film is not inspired by real life story but is a fiction.They said they haven't received notices and once they receive they will respond.
