In its desperate bid to politically capitalize its decision to create separate Telangana state, the Congress high command has reportedly intensified attempts to announce TRS Chief KCR to merge his party with the Congress. Sources say that senior congress leaders are reportedly holding secret parleys with KCR with special instructions given by their boss Sonia Gandhi and he is being offered Chief Minister's post in the new Telangana state after 2014 polls. The Congress is doing everything it can to convince him that he would indeed be projected as the party's CM candidate once he merges TRS such that after wrapping up all constitutional formalities of statehood, the Congress will be going to elections under KCR’s leadership in the new Telangana state. The TRS supremo hasn’t made his mind clear regarding the offer and in case he takes a final call, he would be going to Delhi for a direct pact finalization with Sonia Gandhi and announce merger. At the same KCR is reportedly under pressure from his party leaders not to go for merger party but only work out an alliance with the Congress!
