Making use of the ongoing assembly session as an excuse, Seemandhra Congress leaders including CM Kiran who are opposed to the division of the state are all set to skip the AICC session slated to be held in Delhi on January 17th. After a short gap, the assembly session is expected to debate the Telangana bill is scheduled after its session resumes on January 17. Sources say Kiran has told his aides that there was no point in attending the AICC session and also advised other Congress elected representatives from the region not to take part in the one day session when party vice president Rahul Gandhi is expected to be nominated as the PM candidate. Hence most of the Seemandhra MPs, MLAs and MLCs are likely to give the AICC session a miss. However, to avoid giving any impression that it is a joint decision of all Seemandhra leaders, it has been reportedly decided that each elected representative will be announcing his decision of not attending the meet in their individual capacity. Also Vijayawada Congress MP Lagadapati Rajagopal is eagerly looking forward to attending the AICC session where he is expected move a non-official resolution asking the AICC to oppose the attempt to further divide the linguistic states of India!
