Congress senior leaders from Seemandhra region are now facing a piquant situation due to the party high command’s decision to deny entry to six party MPs from the region to attend the AICC general body meeting to be held in Delhi on Friday. Several ministers, legislators, district Congress committee and city Congress presidents have already reached the national capital to attend the crucial AICC meeting. The party has reportedly not issued entry passes to six MPs - Lagadapati Rajagopal, G Harsha Kumar, Rayapati Sambasiva Rao, Undavalli Arun Kumar Sabbam Hari and Sai Pratap since they had moved a no-confidence motion against their own government. Sources say that despite pressure from the MPs, none of the Seemandhra Congress leaders will raise Samaykyandhra issue at the meet since AICC leadership would not give chance to anyone from the state to speak at the meet to avoid controversies. There were also reports that a fire brand MP counselled some of the DCC and city Congress presidents from coastal region to raise the issue at the meet even as Vijayawada city Congress president Adapa Nagendra said he is not going to raise his voice against the party and he will attend the session as a disciplined worker and stick to the party’s decision!
