About a decade back the Telugu Desam Party was ruling the entire Andhra Pradesh and the party boss Chandrababu Naidu was sure that he would remain a long term CM. But all those hopes got dashed due to certain people who snatched his vote bank. During one term, the big blow came to Naidu due to Jayaprakash Narayan who split the Kamma vote bank forming his Lok Satta Party. Due to that, he lost power. And the following term of elections, the spoilsport was Chiranjeevi. He set up the Praja Rajyam Party and took away a lot of experienced leaders along with the vote bank. Naidu missed the magic number by a narrow margin and if Chiranjeevi’s camp was not there he could have beaten YSR in 2009. Now, it looks like Naidu is facing new threat from AAP boss Arvind Kejriwal. Reports say the AAP has been growing in size and strength across Andhra Pradesh and by the time general elections arrive it might give enough damage. Only time will prove that.
