The Marxist party and the Jagan party are likely ti fight the 2014 elections on a same platform in Andhra Pradesh .The CPM says that YSRC is  a non-congress and aseculr party with a strong base in Andhra Pradesh and more particularly in Seemandhra . CPM general secretary Prakash Karat today described the YSRC led by YS Jaganmohan Reddy as a party opposed to both communalism of BJP and rampant corruption of Congress and that it's leader Jagan was more popular in seemandhra among youth, BC's and Reddy communities. CPM plans to win atleast 3 to 4 seats in Rayalaseema with YSRC support . Asked about alliacne with TDP, the marxist leader said the regional party was moving towards BJP and as such there was no scope for any allainces with such a party which wanted alliances with a communal party. Marxist leader said we are now looking at it as a political force fighting both congress and the BJP in Andhra Prdesh.Any way the state committee will take a final opinion on the alliances later YSRCs enior leaders had held discussions with the CPM leaders B V Raghavulu few months ago and held discussions with them on poll alliances and also on the Samaikayandhra front.
