Uncertainty pertaining to fate of the Congress's Telangana gamble has reportedly deepened on Monday, with opposition parties bluntly asking the government to drop the plan for passing Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Bill and only go for the vote-on-account bill for the last sittings of the current Lok Sabha. Sources say that during the all-party meeting convened here yesterday, the government has failed to convince opposition into assuring help with passage of the Telangana Bill or the scores of anti-graft legislations that the government is keen on getting passed in what is being seen Rahul Gandhi's attempt to repair the damage image of Congress due to scams. Opposition parties like BJP and Trinamool Congress told UPA clearly that Seemandhra MPs will be disrupting the House over the Telangana Bill and, hence it would be wise for the government to get the budget passed. While the government impressed upon them that the anti-corruption bills and Telangana were their priority, the BJP reportedly hinted that while it was not opposed to any of the legislations, it feels such things may not materialize because of the resistance from Seemandhra MPs belonging to Congress and TDP.
