The Telugu film industry is reportedly heading for some inevitable changes. With the issue of AP division now hotting up, the AP Cine Writers Association is reportedly planning to undergo a name change as Telugu Cine Writers Association.
Film writers are making sure they don't see as belonging to one of the two future states -- Telangana or AP and as language is considered the binding force, the writers have reportedly decided to opt for Telugu as the new name.
Most of the writers are settled in Hyderabad and they don't have any intention of moving out of the city if a division happens. The majority of the Telugu film industry comprises of members from non-Telangana region.
Sources also say there is also a plan to rename A P Film Chamber of Commerce as Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce. Informal discussions are going in now by closely working in association with another body called the Telangana Film Chamber of Commerce (TFCC) for the last couple of years.
