Union Minister and a key member of Union cabinet Farooq Abdullah has declared that he refused to attend the cabinet meeting on Telangana recently because he felt it wasn't appropriate. This comes as a surprise at this hour when everything looked set. His party National Conference is a key member of UPA coalition and also shares power with ruling Congress in Jammu & Kashmir state but there are differences between two and there are reports that government may fall soon in Kashmir. Mr. Abdullah was among UPA partners that were informed by Sonia Gandhi regarding the decision to grant Telangana on the morning of July 30th before finally making an announcement on behalf of Congress. Abdullah said today that the bill was full of mistakes and he refused to endorse it and warned that this may have unintended consequences for the region but analysts say it doesn't matter much at this stage when T-state is only a step away!
