Exactly ten years ago, there were expectations on Congress party with a massive anti incumbency wave sweeping Andhra Pradesh against ruling TDP. It is an undeniable fact that the Congress party promised Telangana and hence it tied up with TRS but it was based on second SRC.
And later with pressure from YSR it never took up this issue again. After YSR's death the conditions in Andhra Pradesh forced Congress to concede Telangana but only based on Assembly resolution. The weakness of CM Rosiah and the ignorance of the Congress high command created further chaos.
After appointing Srikrishna Committee Congress never took up any follow up action and kept up the suspense in AP till the fag end of its tenure and after rejecting United AP and Hyderabad as Union Territory, the last thing expected was a decent package for Seemandhra.
But now with Congress unwilling to concede any such thing, the people of Seemandhra are stunned whether it is the same party whom they had voted with many hopes twice in last decade and today when Congress used North Indian MP's to attack its rebel Seemandhra MP's the people are wondering whether this was the party's gift to Telugu people!
