The fourth attachment order which issued by the ED in Jagan's case is worth huge while the three earlier such orders had a value of Rs 265 crore. Sources say ED's action will definitely get the attention of many in the political circles in the run-up to the Lok Sabha.
And especially Assembly polls in AP after Parliament gave the nod to Telangana. Sources say that this may be Congress leadership's subtle message to Jagan, who is considered as a favourite for 25 Lok Sabha seats at stake in Seemandhra region.
This is including for the first election to the Assembly of residual AP, since he is reportedly keeping his options open for the post-poll scenario. ED sources say that is to prevent the accused persons from enjoying the fruits of their criminal acts.
Notable among them are Rs 365.45 crore of shares, plant and machinery of the project have been attached, Rs 10.44 crore worth shares of Indira Television Pvt Ltd including fixed deposits of Rs 4.14 crore in the name of Jagathi Publications Private Ltd, and Jagan's various properties worth Rs 11 crore have been attached among others.
