Union minister Jaipal Reddy is respected across the political spectrum for his views and his status as a respectable individual in politics is high. Till recently he was seen as a supporter of United AP and was never vocal about Telangana.
But realizing that there is a lot of scope for him in case Telangana is granted he started chanting Telangana slogans and tried to become a rallying point for the cause when the bill was getting passed in Delhi.
All this was done with a hope that he would lead the Telangana state even as he hoped that TRS would naturally merge with the Congress. But much to his dismay, the Home Ministry's decisions that constitutionally new state will be formed only after three months has reportedly left him very disappointed.
His hopes that he would be Telangana CM immediately have become a dampener and after elections, in the rigmarole of Congress and TRS politics, no one may even bother about this strongman and Mahabubnagar bidda even as he may have lost the chance to become CM forever!
