Politics revolving around Congress and TRS parties is taking interesting turn with each passing day. After the announcement of TRS president KCR that he has nothing to do with Congress party regarding alliance or merger, Congress party leaders Jairam Ramesh and others lashed out at TRS party for going back on his promise. This triggered war of words as local leaders like Hanmantha Rao, Ponnam Prabhakar and others joined issue with TRS. Things precipitated with Harish Rao blasting Digvijay Singh and Jairam Ramesh for their double standards on Telangana and trying to wean away TJAC from TRS. According to the latest secret talks are underway between Congress and TRS.  Buzz is Sonia Gandhi's political advisor Ahmed Patel is holding discussions with TRS chief KCR. At the sametime at state level, Kesava Rao from TRS and Janareddy from Congress is in talks. Insiders say TRS is demanding 70 Assmebly and 9 Loksabha seats, Congress is offering only 40 Assembly and 5 MP seats. Congress say this is the best they can offer since TRS is weak in Telangana. Congress sources say in 2004 TRS demanded 56 seats while it offered 42 seats. They say TRS not satisfied with this, put candidates in the seats contested by left. Even then they remind TRS won only 26 seats. They even cite in 2009, TRS in alliance with TDP contested 52 seats but won only 10 seats. Digvijay Singh will be coming to Hyderabad on 13 March and be there for three days to take alliance talks with TRS forward.
