The Union Minister of State for Communication and Technology and Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) Doctors’ Cell Convenor, Killi Rammohan is now fielded from Tekkali Assembly. The Srikakulam District Congress Committee has given clarification about the Tekkali Assembly seat given to Killi Rammohan. Even the high command is keenly to move forward to finalise Rammohan’s name for this Assembly constituency since there is no competition for the seat in the party.
Dr. Rammohan Rao has maximum chances to win the elections because he has been a part of many social awareness programs held in the part of the constituency. He has played an instrumental role in conducting many welfare programs under Rammohan foundation past 15 years. He said that he sacrificed the party ticket in 2009 for Korla Bharati who won in the 2009 elections. As now she has gone to Samaikyandra Party and contesting as his opponent in the elections this time.
The DCC has also given the list of other candidates. They are as follows: Chowdary Satish (Srikakulam) Vanka Nageshwara Rao (Palasa), Palavalasa Karunakar (Patapatnam), Dola Jagan (Narasannapeta), Majji Srinivas Rao and Kondru Muralimohan (Etcherla), Boddepalli Satyavathi (Amadalavalasa) and finally Nimmakka Sigreevulu (Palakonda).
