Digvijay Singh told that Congress will release its first list in Telangana by end of March 28th. Till now it’s not possible for Congress High Command due to heavy aspirants are in queue in Telangana. Reportedly, alliance talks with CPI and trying for TRS in back end might delay to release its first list in Telangana.
Congress has no worries in announcing its candidates for SA when compared with Telangana. Today it has released 11 Parliament Segments out of 25 in SA. 8 of them are sitting Parliament members. Only one surprising name in the first list is Devineni Avinash. He is the candidate for Vijayawada Parliament from Congress. This shows the scarcity of the candidates for Congress in SA. His father Nehru is the candidate for Vijayawada (East) Assembly.
All the three candidates from major political parties for Vijayawada Parliament are from Kamma Community. Kesineni Nani (TDP) and Koneru Prasad (YSRCP) will be the candidates from this segment. It’s uphill task for Avinash to take his opponents financially. It seems that Nehru seeks to build the political career of his son for 2019 elections from now onwards. Congress party has no chance to win this segment. By fielding Devineni Avinash as candidate, Congress claims that party will encourage the youth candidates. As per political analysts, he is just useful to split Kamma votes among the contest.
