In what is being seen as significant move, there are reports that the apex body of archbishops, bishops and also heads of Catholic and Protestant churches in AP have reportedly appealed for Christians not to vote for any form of communal forces for the upcoming general elections. Sources say that the Andhra Pradesh Federation of Churches (APFC) appealed to Christians Christians to actually elect leaders who are considered close to people and their needs, and only vote for those who reflect secular character and promoting communal harmony. There are speculations that this may be a potentially explosive letter with far reaching ramifications across south India. Analysts say this will be big blow to TDP, which has just formed an alliance with the BJP. And at the same time it is trying to woo the Christian voter in Seemandhra and Telangana and a hint that now Christians might rally fully behind YSRCP and they could swing it for Jagan significantly in the polls.
