Specifications of an upcoming device, expected to be the successor to LG G2 smartphone — have leaked online, courtesy the website of US telecom operator Sprint. The website lists UA Prof data of a device with model number LG-LS990. This device has a 5.5-inch screen with 2K (25560x1440p) resolution, for the past few months, speculation has been rife that LG will use a 2K panel in the G3 smartphone. This will make LG the first smartphone by a mainstream phonemaker to sport this display resolution. Samsung is rumoured to be working on a higher-end variant of Galaxy S5, featuring 2K screen resolution; Galaxy S5 has a Full HD (1920x1080p) display. According to the UA Prof data, LG G3 will be powered by a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor. This is the same processor that powers the LG G2. On the other hand, rivals like Samsung Galaxy S5, Sony Xperia Z2 and HTC One (M8) use the newer Snapdragon 801 chipset. Other key LG G3 specifications are 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, microSD expansion, 13MP rear camera and 2MP front camera. Powered by Android 4.4 (KitKat), the smartphone is expected to have connectivity options like 4G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
